Hi,

from release notes of version 2.7.2 (15-May-2009):
"feature: OpenQuant opens the solution file given as command line argument at startup and run it automatically if the second parameter (/r) is passed."

Regards,
Alex

Thank you,
this is great!
Btw could you please point me where release notes are stored so I could go over them and see what I possibly missed?
Regards,
Slava

You are able to see release notes by running Check For Updates utility. It shows an information of OQ releases starting from the version you have installed on your machine.

Check for updates: No new version available

So unless I write messages down at the moment of update, I have no way to review the history of changes?
Just as an example, this "-r" option to start as command line is not described anywhere.
Hint: web page with release notes. Why do users keep asking about simplest things?

Regards,
Slava

I have never seen a list of command line arguments for OQ, is there one somewhere? I can see that this /r option opens up lots of possibilities for writing scripts to invoke OQ on various strategies for long runs.

Is there a list of command line args somewhere? Maybe someone could post it to this thread (please :-))?

OpenQuant.exe [full_path_to_solution_file] [/r]
the both parameters are optional.
if the first argument is given then OQ opens appropriate solution at startup. second argument tells OQ to start solution automatically.

it is no secret that TWS sometimes loses connectivity to IB due to many different nuanced reasons. Usually TWS reconnects. Sometimes it does not.

Hi

I tried to start a solution from command line:

OpenQuant.exe C\:Users\rankov\Documents\OpenQuant\Solutions\Update market data\Update market data.oqs /r

OpenQuant starts, but does not load nor start the solution I specified above. The path to the solution file should be correct.

I use OQ 3.0.4 on Windows 7.

Any help?

Many thanks,
Boris

Hi Boris,

Did you enclose the path in quotation marks?

Regards,
Alex
