Hello,

Currently I am not using sell short and buy to cover orders. But I do not want sell short order to happen by the accident. Do I need to handle accidental sell shorts, or your sell orders will never do sell shorts?

Thank you very much,
Paul.

Hi,

actually there is no such thing as sell short orders (according to FIX protocol for example and many broker / exchanges API specifications). There are just sell orders. So that yes, you should keep track of your positions (i.e. that they don't go below zero) yourself.

Regards,
Anton
