Hi,

I am running OQ version 1.0.26 and quotetracker version 3.8.4a. Both are the latest versions.
I am using the OQ's quotetracker default setting (i.e. localhost, port 16240)
When I try to select "quotetracker" as my historical or market data provider, it does not work (i.e. the icon does not turn green). It works when I select IB as my market data provider and yahoo as my historical data provider.

Am I missing some steps in setting the quotetracker properties in OQ?

Hi,

I think you should have a registered version of QuoteTracker to be able to connect to QuoteTracker API from external programs. Do you use such a version?

Anton,

Yes, I have a registered version of quotetracker.

I also have quotetracker running on a 2nd PC. When I entered the hostname of this second PC into the OQ setting for quotetracker, it also did not work. I used a network sniffer to see what was sent between the two PCs and I did not see any packets send from the OQ PC to the 2nd PC.

Hi, I found my answer on the net. I did not enable the API in quotetracker. It is working now. Thanks.

*
Test the data provider account(s) within QuoteTracker to be sure that the user names and passwords are accepted and the feeds are working properly
*
Make sure QuoteTracker streaming API is enabled and use QuoteTracker menus as follows

Menu Options > sub menu Edit Preferences > tab Misc > set API Server Settings to ON
